It was a beautiful day and I was going to my girlfriend's house. Kailey and I had been dating for a little less than six months now, and everything in my life was perfect. I got out of my car and walked up to her house, knocking on the door. I waited until Kailey's kid sister opened the door. Her name was Isabelle and she was about twelve or thirteen, and was honestly really annoying. She looked a lot like a younger version of Kailey, with straight blonde hair that went down to her shoulders and a light dusting of freckles across her thin, pale face. She was short and thin. Today she wore a pink and white striped shirt and a pair of gray tights, and her hair was done in two braids.
"Kailey's in the shower," she said, and led me inside. The Denardos lived in an expansive, large house. I knew they were rich, but I didn't know how rich.
"She'll be out soon, I hope?" I asked. I was going to take her to the movies today. Isabelle just nodded and turned on the TV. She put on one of those new Nickelodeon shows that everybody except twelve year-olds hated. I sat down on the armchair. "What are you watching?" I asked. She ignored me. I wanted Isabelle to like me, because I was in love with her sister. It proved to be not so easy. I thought twelve year old girls were supposed to be social!
The water that'd been running in the background stopped, and I figured it would be just a few more minutes before my Kailey was ready for our date. Then it happened. I didn't notice at first. My vision shifted slightly, and I was looking directly at the TV and not from an angle. And why wasn't I in the armchair anymore? Then I realized my breathing sounded different. It was higher-pitched and childlike. I looked at my hands. They were small and noticeably feminine. I looked around the room and saw myself in the armchair. Then I realized: I was Isabelle!
