It was a Spring saturday evening, Lyle was sitting in the living room finding himself engrossed with the adventure stories he read on many days such as this one. His brown messy hair close to his eyes, with glasses covering those too he sat in wonder engorging himself on a rad tale when suddenly.
"Lyle we got a package" A voice shouted from the corner stepping away from the doorway, None other than Lyle's brother Brad. He was similar to Lyle in the fact they both had green eyes and brown hair but there were differences namely age while Lyle was 10 Brad was 15. As well as Brad having shorter hair and a more athletic build from being on a sports team for his school. He came in with a bright smile which coursed excitement into the young boy.
"Is it from....?" Lyle shouted eagerly trying to get up but with a simple nod the young boy had his answer, their grandparents were adventuring folk and liked to send their grandchildren a bunch of gifts on their many travels. "Oooh i wonder what if could be this time?" Lyle says bouncing with excitement as the two walk into the kitchen and open the package.
Inside was two statues, idols if you will of strange shape and likeness. "oooh whats this..?" Brad says taking one and holding it up. Lyle picks up the other and the two gaze at them with intrigue and smiles. "Huh this is an interesting gift...." Brad says with fascination as he looked over the shape of the object. Meanwhile, Lyle nearly pushes him aside to rush upstairs with his gift. Brad chuckles as he simply ends up stepping aside but needless to say he's used to his brother's burst of excitement.
Lyle rushes upstairs to begin to examine the object of his eye dusting it, examining it and putting it to the light as much as he could. He was well engrossed in figuring out what this object could be sent by their grandparents. But all too soon did this little statuette glow and turn to dust as Lyle held it against an overhead light. The dust falls on Lyle getting absorbed into him as he finds no traces of it on the ground.
"W-what..where did it go?" He asks in shock as he looks around to examine the dust. but finds none on his face, body or the ground around him.
Meanwhile he feels a startling surge of energy within him, he begins to feel quite....good.
