You gave a silent scream as your voice caught in your throat. You'd never been this close to a giant, unsupervised, outside your own family. You were roughly 2 inches tall these days but that was irrelevant in the face of the stud that had walked through the door. And you were completely exposed in the middle of the floor.
Panicking, you immediately sprinted and leapt under the chair. As you made your leap, a huge foot slammed to the ground uncomfortably close to you. This had the added effect of extending your jump and you hurtled almost directly into the wall. Dazed, you gave a groan of pain.
Your head was ringing as you stumbled to your feet and this new guy continued his conversation. It occurred to you that at some point you've have to introduce yourself, but you really didn't feel ready for that yet. Suddenly, though, the giant's words cut through the
"Nah, I haven't seen him yet."
You gulped. Of course he'd have been informed he was sharing with you...
"I guess he could be anywhere. Yeah. Gotta watch where I step."
Too late for that, you thought, irritated.
"Alright pa. Love you. See you soon." He hung up. You looked out and saw the huge pair of feet shuffling around the relatively small dorm room as he began to unpack. 18 years of seeing giants moving had gotten you used to it, but these giant's movements seemed strange, furtive, and you wondered what was going on. After a while, it became clear.
"You in here little man? Feel like I'm gonna step on you. Could you come out?"
