Once upon a time, there was a 25-year-old man named Dave Brown.
He was very happy because he'd been dating this old school friend Jenny for years now and had just moved into her house and they were going to get married in one week's time.
They'd made all the arrangements and negotiated everything, there was just one thing they couldn't quite agree on.
Jenny really wanted to start a family.
She'd been talking about it for a while now, but Dave wasn't so sure.
He wanted kids, but didn't want them yet. He thought maybe he should wait for a few months or even a year or two so he could read up on parenting.
One day, he went home from work to find the living room transformed.
There was a crib in the corner, a stroller in another corner, and all over the floor were various diapers, pacifiers, blankies, baby clothes, bibs, baby dishes, baby bottles, baby spoons, containers of baby food and formula and a changing table.
"Jenny," said Dave, "you know I don't feel ready yet....are you expecting?!" he said, knowing that he and Jenny hadn't taken any chastity pledges and so Jenny might have been pregnant.
