This choice: Go back down the secret passageway in her body • Go Back...Chapter #3Go back down the secret passageway in her body by: DougTF   The answers to whatever happened to you are back in that lab, so you need to check it out. You put up a sign saying back in ten minutes, not that anyone is likely to come to the library after school: you were only here working off a detention. But you want to make sure you have your bases covered this time, since the last time you came down here, you pretty much got melted.
It's easier to open the secret passageway and you see a handle to open and close it from the inside, which you use. Continuing on, using the librarian's phone as a flashlight, you find the pod that transformed you. This time you touch nothing, but look around and find a journal. Sitting down, you read it, eyes widening.
The person who lived here was an inventory, like mad scientist level and her last invention was the pod that transformed you. She was tired of getting no recognition, no attention, of being ignored because she was a woman, so she was going to use the device, and go possess the man who stole all her other ideas...Thomas Edison. "HOLY CRAP! Edison was a girl!" Well, no, no more than than the librarian is a guy now, just a guy is running her. But this woman decided to STAY in his body the rest of his life! And there's no more notes, nothing about how to change back, nothing of any help, other than letting you know you can possess someone for as long as you like! But this explains how the house and lab were claimed, became a school, all those stories about the past owner. She did vanish, never to be heard from again...just like you!
There is nothing else in here, but you leave the journal. You also head out, as the librarian and move some shelves to better block the secret passage. Now no one can get in except you in your liquid form...at least not easily. You head back to her desk and sit down:  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
