You are Brandon Roberts, a 16 year old boy who would now have his summer to himself, his parents had left for an extended honeymoon on a cruise for the entire summer and your 10 year old sister Julie would be staying at an automated girls daycare with her friends.
You saw the large building that was operating as the daycare. It was painted in a pastel pink color and read 'Mrs. Jennings Lovely Girls Daycare'. Upon entering through the only open door, the inside was painted in a similar pink hue along with shade of lavender and white. The entrance area was small to allow maximum space for the girls to stay in. All of a sudden, a robotic eye popped out of the ceiling, "Checking In?" it inquired.
"Yeah, I am checking in my sister Julie" as you responded you noticed a quick flicker from the robot's eye but, chose to ignore it.
"Julie. and you are?" You did not understand why the robot wanted to know who you were but answered anyway.
"Oh, I'm her brother, Brandon." You noticed two flickers this time.
"Brandy, Check in complete!" Did it just call you Brandy?
"Actually, my name is-" However before you could finish your sentence you heard the door lock behind you and Julie.
"All girls checked in, initiating Mrs. Jennings Lovely Girls Daycare mode!"
"Wait, I'm not supposed to be here, I'm a guy!" You were panicking, why did lock you in too?
The robot flickered again, "Last guest to arrive are the two Daughters of the Roberts family. Thus Daycare mode was initiated." What? Did your parents accidentally sign you up for the daycare too? You weren't going to stay here all summer! You reached for your phone to try and call help but the robotic arm quickly took it away. "Miss Brandy, do not worry you are safe in Mrs. Jennings Lovely Girls Daycare", the machine spat, believing you were just confused.
"But, I don't want to be here!" You were clearly in a panic.
Julie found this all pretty amusing and finally said, "Don't worry 'Brandy', I'm sure it will realize it is a mistake an let you out and if not, at least you can have fun playing with me and my friends."
You were not amused but, conceited there was not much you could do at the moment. So you and Julie proceeded further into the daycare.
