You couldn't believe what you were looking at.
In front of you was a giant body of water. You don't think you've seen this much water in your life. Your shackles clang against each other as you take a step forward on the glass surface under your feet. The air was fresh and the sun was high above the sky. You were shaded from its glory by being set under an umbrella, atop a glass table with white rim and base. Four others were with you, shackled up and huddled together. They were all women, you paid no mind what their colors were, you were more focused on Solace, the blue she-cat behind them. She was wearing a dark one piece bathing suit.
She cleared her throat. "So here's what's going to happen. Some of my friends and I want to have fun, so we rented out this pool so we can all play with you." She moved aside and pointed to other leona's who had other micen. "They all brought their own little friends like me. It would be rude to bring less treats than you could eat. That one is Risa, my sister," She pointed to a brown leona wearing a black bikini, and light brown hair. "That one is Geeaness, my best friend," She pointed to an orange male with a white underbelly. He had brown wavy hair and wore a flaming detailed swim shorts. "The other ones are Beth. Misty, and Donna." You couldn't tell the other ones apart, save for Donna. She was a deeper blue than Solace. "There are a few more whose names I cannot remember for the life of me, but whatever. What matters is that they are all hungry, and there are thirty one micen including you guys." When you heard they were all hungry, you couldn't help but to look back over at the other giantess'.
You try and visualize how to swim away from them, and which ones you'd rather be eaten by if you couldn't swim. "How fast can they swim, sweet cheeks?" your voice was loud enough for her to hear.
"Sweet cheeks?" She leaned in with an entertained smile and pocked your stomach, "You better be referring to my face. Anyways, they can swim all fine and dandy. You shouldn't worry how fast you should swim, you'll be getting boats. You guys will get to have the boats and try to get to the other side. The micen who get to the other side of the pool before the sun completely sets will get to live in the lap of luxury with an old friend mine."
"Will there be cupcakes?" You say enthusiastically.
She smiled, "Yes. And the micen who don't get there by sun down get to be on the topping of cupcakes." You looked back to the other leonas who have been feeding information to their micen.
"What if we don't want to play?" One of the women asked. Solace looked away from you and you can see her disposition change. "You don't want to play? Come here, I'll just eat you now." She woman retreated farther back until her chains tightened. You're the only one who isn't chained to the umbrella. You complimented Solace on her hair today, she liked you ever since. You told her your name, and how everything happened, however, she still seems keen on eating you. Maybe it's because you are a convicted murderer. You didn't do it, and thinking about it makes you angry. But that was a month ago, staying angry at it would accomplish nothing.
Now you are about to be in the race of your life. A yellow leona comes through the gated iron fences around the pool with a box. You heard Solace say in a happy tone, "Looks like the galleon arrived." She got up and helped the other leona with the box. "Kelso," One of the women called your name, "Help us out of these chains! I don't know how to swim!"
You shake your head and pointed towards Solace, "You'll have to ask her."
She couldn't figure out what else to say. The leona set up the galleon, a large ship that could fit about fifteen or even twenty micen. It had metal holes in it, big enough for a one of their fingers to be put through. "Their going to eat us!" another one of the woman call.
"I'm okay with that." You smirk as you look over your shoulder and see her surprised face, "If we get to the other side, we can have untold riches."
"But the leonas, they'll..." She stopped herself, remembering she has already been through this conversation.
Solace came back to the table and sat on a nearby chair. She placed her elbows on the table and held her slumped head, staring at the micen. She seemed to have gotten a kick out of scaring them. "Kelso," She called you without looking away from the micen, "There is going to be a few smaller boats around the galleon. They aren't going to be attacked until in they reach the middle of the pool. I was wondering, which one would you like to be on: The galleon or the rowboats?"
