You are Pit, the personal angel of the goddess Palutena. You had just gotten done flying around the tournament grounds, and you were tired and ready to relax. Well, not exactly flying, but the Hands' power did let you use a limited version of the Power of Flight without Palutena's assistance, so you were using that. You were on your way to the leisure room when you bump your foot on something. Picking it up, you find it's a package with a remote and instruction manual inside. You have no idea what it is, or who could have left it here, but since no one seems to be around to pick it up, you take it with you to the leisure room.
Once you get there, you flop onto the couch, exhausted. Flying was a lot of fun, but also a lot of hard work. Since no one was around to question what you were doing, you decide to go through the manual to see what the remote is for. To your surprise, the remote is not for a TV or something like that, but for switching around aspects of reality between a given target an the person using the remote. This really intrigued you, especially the part about altering reality so that nobody notices the change, or just accepts that it's normal. Would it even work on Viridi and Palutena? Could the power of this remote even defy the gods? You really needed to test this out.
Your energy seemed to have miraculously returned. You throw the box in the bin and race over to your room to put the manual away somewhere safe, all the while formulating a plan. You'd swap something with the first person you came across. Swap something so obvious, so ridiculous, that it would be impossible for Lady Palutena to not see and not laugh at you for. Then you'd go find her and see if your changes would get any reaction out of her. If she didn't have a laugh about your head on someone else's body or you wearing an outfit that looked ridiculous on you, you'd know for sure the power of this remote. Of course, you'll have the remote set to swap mode one. You wanted to test out it's mind altering capabilities, not freak people out with the swaps.
You head back out into the hallway and slow your pace. The remote might make the swaps seem normal, but they might still question why you're pointing a remote at them out of the blue. Doing your best to stay quiet even with all the excitement, you look for someone and try to make sure they don't see you so you can do the swapping. Peeking around a corner, you've found someone to swap with, and it's...
