Normally you weren't supposed to make helpers of the other tournament members, but you figured that because the remote wasn't in the tournament (you hoped) then making a remote helper couldn't hurt.
You concentrate. Motes of light slowly drip off your body and into the space above your head as the Remote ability left your body and re-coalesced.
The result landed next to you. It looked a lot like a Gim (http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20081...), but its metallic skin, cap, and shoes were much darker, the color of the remote. Its cap had the six symbols, and each shoe had three colored circles apiece. The hole where Gim's arm would normally come out was sealed with a steel square on which the numbers 1, 2, and 3 were printed, and its white-gloved hand came disturbingly out its back. And finally, it had a red-tinted glass eye instead of a blue one.)
You guessed that this helper (which you decided to call Swapper) worked by holding someone with its gloved hand and "firing" from its tinted eye. The one held by its gloved hand was probably the "user" and the one being fired at was probably the "target," but you weren't quite sure.
