Aiming the remote at Fox, you pressed the button with a person's silhouette. In the next instant your perspective had shifted up by several feet. After taking a few seconds to reorient, you looked back across the hall and saw yourself, or at least what used to be yourself, wearing Fox's clothes and standing exactly where Fox had been. Had the remote really worked? You looked down at your body and sure enough you now had the body of Fox McCloud, but without any clothes. seeing brown fur where yellow should have been startled you, and since you weren't used to your new longer limbs, you fell to the floor and against the wall.
Fox heard the impact of the fall and, with more knowledge of your body than your knowledge of his, ran full-speed on all fours to see if you were alright. As he got closer you saw that Fox's clothes and blaster had shrunken down to accommodate his new dimensions. In a flash he was already where you were sitting, with both gloved hands holding your head and his face in yours. "Hey, Pikachu, you alright?" The words coming out of your old mouth unnerved you. "Pika pika pi..." The verbalizations coming out of Fox's old mouth unnerved you even more.
Fox took his hands off of you and backed away slightly. "Okay," the yellow mouse said, "you seem like you're fine, but you really had me scared for a minute! Can you get yourself up?" After taking a deep breath, you hoisted yourself up with your new longer arms. You thought you would have trouble balancing, but your fox tail worked great as a counterweight. You looked down at your hand and saw that, despite being in a new body, you still had the remote.
