A blast of magic washes over you, accompanied by the titanic thud of a die hitting the table far behind you. "Oof, bad news little guy," Dani says, her representation on the table mouthing along with her. She doesn't even need to use her rumbling voice to explain: it's evident how you rolled when the model begins stretching upward again as you dwindle further.
Your shrinking doesn't stop until your eyes reach her ankle - or at least where her ankle would be if she weren't wearing high heels. You're now only about three inches tall compared to this figurine which you remember holding in the palm of your hand just last week. "Well, at least you're in range to hit her now, so go ahead." You swing your mace half-heartedly, hitting the apparently ever-growing facsimile of Danielle square on the ankle bone.
"I've gone ahead and resolved the combat for you. The good news is you hit, but once I factor in all the modifiers for your size and your now absolutely pitiful strength you did exactly zero damage. If it were possible you would have done negative damage. And she won the initiative roll, so she's up now." Dani's voice sounds more like the rumble of thunder than an actual human voice, but you're still able to pick the words out.
The figurine, which now looks exactly like Dani, looks down at you by her foot. "You shouldn't have done that," the figure says, this time with no input from your friend. "If you had managed to hurt me I'd have been absolutely... crushed." It smiles devilishly and begins to cackle while, according to the rules, you can do nothing but look on.
