This choice: A fighting teenage couple slowly becomes an older, married couple • Go Back...Chapter #4A fighting teenage couple slowly becomes an old... by: Unknown "I told you we should have got here earlier. I told you!" Emma Young yelled to her teenage boyfriend, Patrick Manfield.
"Will you shut up for just a minute? I didn't even want to come here in the first place. Disney World is for, like, three year olds. Not for 17 year olds like us." Patrick quipped as he studied his map.
"I just thought it would be a nice, fun day." Emma said, gritted through her teeth. She wanted to punch him right now. People were staring. "And besides, a lot of old people like this park. It's been around a long time, you know."
"Yeah. It's old, and ancient, and out of touch with what's cool." Patrick said.
"Just like this relationship." Emma muttered under her breath.
Just one year ago, Emma and Patrick seemed like the perfect couple. Emma couldn't remember a happier time her, or for Patrick. They had known each other since their youth, and had decided to start dating at the beginning of high school. And it was great. But recently, the magic is gone so to speak. They can't help but see each other as stupid, or silly, and they are constantly bickering. Both of them want to regain the spark they had back in the beginning, and there have been points where it's calmed down. But right now, the bickering seems to be at an all time high.
Emma suggested they take a day at Disney World, which was only 40 minutes from their high school, in order to get away from the pressures of high school. In order to relax. But right now, it didn't seem to be working. Emma felt like this could be the end. She couldn't break up with someone at Disney World, could she.
"Oh, I just wish Patrick and I could be together forever." Emma said.
If there were any place that wish could come true, it would be here.
She turned to Patrick.
"OK. Fine. Let's have fun." said Patrick, defeated. "Where should we go first?"
Emma wanted to go to Fantasyland. But she knew Patrick would never go for it.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
