Just outside the large restaurant windows you saw the giants smiling face. His eyes were locked on you. No one in the restaurant moved, acting like deer in the head lights. Then the giant soldier moved his hand toward the fort of the entrance, doing so slowly as if not to frighten away those inside. He picked at the glass doors at front, seemingly trying to be gentle, but ultimately just shattering them. You, along with the rest of the crowd inside started running back into the kitchen. You heard what you assume was the giant giving up with the door and just slamming his hand through the front.
From the kitchen you and the rest of the crowd started to flee out a back exit, leading into an alleyway. You were near the rear of the crowd, meaning you were one of the last to get out. Just before you made it out a hand smashed through the wall between the dining area and the kitchen. You looked back to see the giant across the ruined dining hall, his still eyes on you, watching intently. You both paused for a moment. He seemed focused, and still amused, like a cat chasing a mouse. You backed up a few feet toward the door and he immediately extended his hand toward you. You make it out and start running down the alleyway right before his hand burst through the back of the building, nearly grabbing you.
You ran as fast as your legs could take you as you heard the giant rip his arm back. You heard him clamor to the end of the alley. You glanced back behind yourself long enough to see him standing at the opposite end of the alleyway smiling broadly. As you exit the alley you dash down the street. You hear loud sounds of destruction behind you; you guess that he’s ripping his way through the alley after you. When he’s about to burst out onto the street you duck into the nearest building, a hotel. You looked out a window to see him crash out onto the street in a shower of debris from the buildings that were on either side of the alley.
You couldn’t look away from the awesome display of might. He looked tensed up, and alive, like a wild animal nearing his prey. You saw him start to scan the ground where you fled and was brought back into your terrible predicament. You immediately turned and fled deeper into the building.
