“What do you want to eat?” Audrey asked, leading the car off the highway ramp. “It’s still quite a bit before we get to the Summer House.”
Riley shrugged. “I don’t care. I’m fine with whatever.”
“You fine with burgers?”
“Sure.”
Not too long after, Audrey found a burger shop not too far from the highway they were traveling on. The two stepped out of the car and made their way inside the restaurant.
“Go find a seat. I’ll order,” Audrey said. “What do you want?”
“Just some chicken nuggets,” the younger sister replied. “Oh, and get me some ranch please.”
“Got it,” Audrey said, walking toward the counter and looking at the menu.
Down below, Penny felt the full weight of Audrey on her after hours of a diminished pressure. She yelled out swears, knowing the sensation of her sister walking. The walking was rhythmic, yet she was unprepared for every step as each knocked the wind out of her.
Finally, after what seemed like an hour, the walking stopped, but the weight still fluctuated as Audrey shifted her balance between her feet.
“How may I help you?” the lady behind the counter asked.
“Hm, can I get a ten piece chicken nuggets, with ranch, and a medium soda.”
“Anything else?”
“A medium double cheeseburger combo, but can you make the drink a shake?”
“Sure, it’ll be sixty-eight cents extra.”
Audrey nodded. “That’s fine.”
After idly bouncing around on the balls of her feet, Audrey’s number was called. She grabbed the tray before making her way over to the booth where her younger sister sat.
“I’m going to pee real quick,” Riley announced, standing up from the booth.
As Riley left, Audrey got an idea. She slipped off her right shoe and pried off her shrunken little sister off the ball of her foot.
The light was blinding as Penny finally got a look into the outside world. She was lifted out of the shoe at an alarmingly fast rate. Sure enough, she was stuck to the bottom of her sister’s foot, staring up at her giant sister’s smiling face.
It didn’t take long for a pair of fingers to pinch together and rip her off from the fabric prison that kept her trapped for hours. She felt nauseous as she made out how high she was and where she was.
Just as she settled to her surroundings, Penny realized what was going to happen next.
