Scott stared up at the impossible sight. He was looking at a black wall as tall as he, into which an enormous red pillar was fixed, which stretched at least a hundred feet into the air, where it supported a black ceiling, one which rapidly swept down back to the ground. Beyond, an identical pillar supported an identical ceiling.
He was standing in the shadow of enormous, high-heeled shoes. His car sat beneath them, the size of a matchbox car -- if that.
He turned around, and soon saw that there were more shoes, several pair. He could only get a good look at a few, but what he saw told him something about where he was, something that chilled him to the bone.
