Jazmine pushed the stroller than contained her six month old child. It was a warm Saturday morning and she had decided to take her child out for a stroll and , as a bonus, get some exercise in. It hadn't been easy for her since the baby had been born. The child's dead beat father had skipped down the day he found out she was pregnant and working while trying to be a good mother to her child was a balancing act. Fortunately she had help from her mother and younger siblings.
Despite her experience with her child's father. Jazmine longed for companionship, and sometimes wished for a man in her life. She was just thinking this when she noticed a flash of silver in the sidewalk ahead of her. She frowned. It was moving. She could here a buzzing noise from it as if it were motorized. She picked up the pace, easily overtaking it. As she got closer she was surprised to see that it was a car about the size of a hotwheels. Acting quickly she reached down and picked it up off the sidewalk. The front wheels spun for a brief moment before coming to a stop. Between her thumb and fingers it felt fragile and not like a toy at all. There was a wisp of smoke coming from the tail section.
When Jazmine gazed into the interior of the car she almost dropped the car in surprise.
Scott looked into the dark eyes of the ebony face of the woman who had picked up his car and was holding it between her fingers. There was no callous in her expression, only shock. She brought the car closer so that all he could see was a single eye. The eye focused on him. It blinked twice. With no other option available he waved at her. The eye widened. He heard the woman whisper one two words.
"A man."
Suddenly he was descending towards the woman's pants. A moment later he was in the tight confines of her front pocket. He shut the engine off. He could tell the woman had turned direction and was heading back the way she had come. He couldn't tell though if her pace had been faster or not. Scott unbuckled his seat belt and waited. He hoped she wasn't hostile.
Jazmine tried not to be hurried as she made her way back to the house she had been renting. To anyone who happened to see or meet up with her she would just say she had to go really bad. Taking her baby out of the carriage she stepped into the house and when directly to her bedroom. With her heart pounding into her chest she carefully removed the car from her pocket. She held it in her palm while her baby cooed and made noises.
