Isaac tried looking up the mask but only found cheap Halloween costumes. There was a certain quality to this, it wasn’t just some cheap mask and there were no manufacturers markings to identify it.
Then he noticed he had dropped a folded piece of parchment on the ground. Picking it up revealed it to be a set of instructions. It was the called an Infallible Woman’s Disguise. If you touched the mask to the skin of a woman it would use her form as a mold to the you transform you into an exact twin. There were drawings of someone putting on the mask and it spreading across their face and over their body turning them into a woman, then prying the mask off and returning to normal.
Weird... Isaac thought. Only one way to find out though. He stashed it into his pocket and headed to the mall. That might be crowded and busy enough to get close to somebody and touch them with the mask undetected. This proved a little more awkward than he thought. He walked close to people pretending to looking at clothes at the department store but they would move away as soon as he got close.
Finally he spotted a mother pushing a stroller distracted by her other toddler throwing hangers around. She had long brown hair and a wide bottom but he couldn’t see her face since he was behind her. He got right behind her and gently touched the back of her arm and quickly skunk away. She didn’t notice. He grabbed a random pair of pants off a rack and went into a changing room locking the door behind him. Isaac looked at the mask and gasped.
It was no longer pink but now looked like human skin. It was still small and oval like it was before but there was a woman’s nose, and a pair of brown eyes staring blankly ahead behind long eyelashes.
