The Jirachi made its way through the thick forest. Even though it was pitch black since the sun had set some forty minutes ago, the little pokemon had no trouble navigating the forest. None of the other pokemon that lived in the forest took much notice of the passing Jirachi. Seeing a Jirachi wasn't all that special. There were probably hundreds of the wish-granting pokemon wandering throughout the world.
Not all Jirachi took the 1,000-year sleep and certainly not this Jirachi. Sleeping was boring. Granting wishes was so much more fun. Carelessly granting wishes was even better. It made stuff more interesting. If someone happened to wish for the end of the world, this little Jirachi will grant it and gleefully watch as the world ended--only to take back the wish as though as if the wish was never spoken out loud to begin with. Of course nobody wished for the world to end---but people did wish for interesting stuff to happen. If the situation got too out of hand, Jirachi would reverse time so that the wish was never granted.
Jirachi had reversed time only a hour ago after granting a human near-unlimited power and the results were truly fascinating. Now, Jirachi was looking for a new human to have fun with. Jirachi had wandered into this dense forest just to see if any humans were in the forest. It wasn't unusual that pokemon trainers would spend the night in a forest like this one.
Jirachi then stumbled upon a small campfire with four humans near it. Two of the humans looked to be asleep while the two other humans looked to be having a pokemon battle. Jirachi was amazed that anyone could sleep with a pokemon battle going on. Jirachi then scanned the minds of all the humans.
It seemed that the four did encounter a Jirachi some years ago. A Jirachi that took the "1,000-year nap" as this Jirachi put it. Nothing all that exciting happened with that Jirachi....interesting, yes...but not all that exciting.
As Jirachi watched, the battle came to an end with the boy in a red hat win. Jirachi was resting high on a tree branch overlooking the camp site. Jirachi decided to rest for a bit and, perhaps later, grant some wishes.
"That was a good match, May" said Ash.
"You're as good as ever" said May.
"I don't let myself get rusty" said Ash.
"Pika" chimed in Pikachu on Ash's shoulder. Ash glanced over at the sleeping Brock and Max.
"It is getting late" said Ash. "...and it's been a long day"
"Let's get some sleep" said May.
