Chase, a 20-year-old slacker fox

Chase was your average 20-year-old slacker. The red fox had lazed his way through high school, dropped out of college when he realized the work required to graduate, and found himself perfectly happy at what most people would call a dead-end job - security guard at a candy factory. Where some people would find the nonstop process of checking equipment, wandering the grounds and sitting at a desk watching cameras mindless and unfulfilling, Chase was more than content. He could sleep late, as he worked the night shift. He got all the snacks and candy he'd want from the company's extra products and rejects. Other than a quick glance every now and again, the majority of his average night at work would be spent dozing behind his desk or hanging out with the radio or a movie on his computer. He only had two cares in the world, a steady supply of snacks and not needing to do anything more than necessary. This had left him with a few extra pounds, but he didn't mind - if he felt like it, he could work it off in a weekend, and even then, he didn't feel like it, so what's the point?
Of course, his slacker ways meant he did the bare minimum necessary at work, which left him surprised when...
