You take a deep breath, steel your nerves, and do any other cliches that'll help your journey. One hand at a time, you pull yourself towards that table. The journey's long, but it should be safe. The girls are too busy gossiping in the middle of the living room to be a hindrance to you.
Do you know what an old carpet smells like? Musty, dirty, not very pleasant. Well, you're currently dragging your face through all of that. Sure, it's helping to dry Dani's sweat off of you, but the smell is only getting replaced. You're slowly beginning to smell a lot like mildew.
An hour passes. With your small size and new found disability, crossing the room took a lot. Finally, you get to your destination: the towering table. Sounds a bit like a shitty adventure story. You'll have to find a way up there, but with your leg in such a state, simply climbing the table leg is out of the question. You take a quick look back over your shoulder, towards the girls.
They don't seem to be as occupied as earlier. One's on her phone, one's half asleep, and one has a book out. (What a nerd. Reading. Pssh.) Your grace period looks like it's running out.
