(Authors note: in this world, nudity is not taboo, it's the norm, humans imitate the other predator races in this regard, hoping to be accepted)
Looking up a thing the brick building, Luna (the wolfess) walked toward the door, the nice breeze caressing her fur doing little to remove the butterflies in her stomach. She was looking to adopt. Not just to make a kids dream come true, but because she found out she was barren, unfertile, however you wanted to say it, she couldn't have pups. But that's where the orphanage came in handy.
Opening the door, the naked anthro wolf walked in and rang the bell at the desk, an anthro fox coming up to the desk.
"Yes ma'am?" He asked, "How can I help you?"
Luna swallowed her nervousness before answering, "I'm looking to adopt."
The tod nodded to the side, "Right through there, it's an off-day, so everybody should be in there."
Nodding, Luna walked in the room, looking at all the various species of children, foxes, wolves, lions, and a human. Looking at him, she saw that he was all alone in the corner by himself, a small red hooded cape on his shoulders, a GI Wolf and Commando in his hands. Poor guy, just because humans were the weakest of predators meant they were often looked down upon, legally they were equals, but no so much in social interaction.
Walking over to him she sat down opposite of him, "Hi there."
He looked up at her, his brown hair cut short and neat, green eyes wide with nervousness. "Hi." He whispered.
Smiling, she continued, "What're you playing?"
He shrugged, "I 'unno. Jus' playin'."
"Nobody wants to play with you?"
He shook his head, "Imma human, nobody likes me." He gestured to his body, "No fur," pointing to his bare behind, "no tail," he pulled his hood back to show his round human ears, "and stupid little ears." Plopping back down, he pulled his too small cape closer to his body, "Imma be an orphan forever."
Luna couldn't take it anymore, she got up and walked back to the desk, the tod still there waiting for her.
"Make a descision?" He asked.
"I'll adopt the human boy." She said firmly.
The tods eyebrows shot up, "Really? You want Red?" At Luna's face he quickly added, "No preds adopt humans, at least, not around here."
"I just can't let the little guy be sad and alone," she rubbed her hands together, "it's not right."
He simply raised his hand, "I understand, I'll get the papers ready. You can take him home tomorrow if everything checks out."
Smiling, Luna began to eagerly fill out the papers.
