Still, everything was there, jeans, shirt, socks, and towel, just as she left them. Wanting to not arouse any suspicions, she reluctantly dried off and put her clothes back on.
Still, Sara would not be deterred. So the girls chickened out a little on this prank, but maybe that was just to lull her into a false sense of security, so that they believed she wouldn't be expecting it when they really hit hard! The day was still young, after all. Sara giggled as she walked back to the living room, eager to see what Lacey and Casey would pull off next.
When she got back into the room, the girls were playing their video game just as they were before.
"Oh girls," Sara said innocently. "Did either of you flush the toilet while I was in the shower?"
"Nope!" "Nuh-uh!" the girls replied, somewhat insincerely.
"Well, alright then," Sara smiled. "Now that I'm all clean, how's about I get dinner ready?"
"Okay!" they agreed, and then turned back to their game.
As she turned around, Sara saw that the kitchen door, which opened inwards to the kitchen, was slightly ajar. "Oh, I see what you're doing, you wonderful little troublemakers," Sara thought. "A true classic."
