Chapter #3Ruby and Weiss shrink by: teniko Weiss sat back- her present was almost done. After giving Blake the dust upgrade Ruby had been getting hyped up more then usual about weapons, since it was her birthday coming up Weiss thought it would be a good idea to give Ruby the same treatment.
After multiple talks to people within her families company she finally managed to gather some expensive dust prototype. It had been deemed safe for use, it only had a few more tests to pass for it to go on the shelves.
"I'll have to ask Ruby to review the product at some point." Weiss spoke calmly as she hid the vile away, remembering the dust reacted badly with the dust in her sword, she carefully separated the samples. It wasn't fully tested, but mixing those two dust samples could disintegrate the prototype. Weiss sighed as she started to put all the dust back in her suitcase, being careful not to mix the prototype with the other dust in her possession before she tensed up to a door slam.
"Heeey~ Weiss! What are you doing?" Ruby called out from behind Weiss, stomping her feet dry on the welcome mat they bought last Christmas. Ruby heard a smash that drew her attention upwards. "W-what the? I thought Weiss was here?"
Unaware to the leader of Ruby, Weiss had done what she set out to avoid. Trying to hid Rubies present, she dropped the prototype and another dust vial, smashing them both and mixing them into a pile of goo. Without thinking, she brought her hand down on the goo "Ruby's going to be so disappointed..." She started to mutter, turning around to her friend before she blacked out.
Ruby slipped off her boots and wandered to where she thought Weiss was.
"That's weird... Weiss left her suit case open." With a slightly worried frown, she noticed the broken viles, picking them up and tossing them into the bin, she returned to put away Weiss's stuff. "Hey Weiss! I'm putting away your stuff! It's all over the floor and I think we're having guests around later!" Ruby yelled to the closed door of the bathroom.
After slipping the suitcase back, she sat down on a chair, glad to take the weight off her feet. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a strange bubbling droplet. "What is that...?" Ruby pouted, rolling from her chair to get a better look. It looked like some kind of liquid that was melting away. "Ah-? It's dissolving? Uh- Weiss? What is this?" a little nervous, she extended a finger to poke the strange object. As she made contact, she too blacked out.
Weiss lay on the floor, having narrowly avoided Rubies nylon boot feet stomping around the room she had finally found a reletivly safe haven under a chair. While the smell of her 'glorious leaders' feet was still pungent in the air, she still felt relativly safe here. Somehow the prototype had managed to shrink her on skin contact.
"How did that skip testing? I thought it was essentially safe, they just had a few tests to pass the governments strict laws on dust use...!" Weiss panted, feeling oddly out of breath. She was sure she had been stepped on at some point, it felt as though her body had gone briefly two dimensional... but is that even possible? While Weiss pondered this news as well as how to get Ruby's attention she noticed the giant clutz flop out of her chair. "Never mind how do I get her attention, how do I avoid getting flattened by her....!?" Weiss spoke jokingly, yet her face paled as she watched her friend crawl across the floor like a lost puppy.
"-What is this?" Ruby boomed out, before her body suddenly vanished before Weiss.
"R-Ruby?" Weiss yelled, noticing what was left of the mixture bubble out of existence as she rushed out towards where her friend had been.
"A-ah-?" Ruby gasped, her landing had been soft, landing on the ever expanding bed of someone from her team. "What happened?" indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
