Then again no day really turned out well for him but this one took the cake.Nora and Ren had left to go into Vale while Pyrrha was working on a school project and she didn't want Jaune distracting her. So Jaune was left to his own devices and bored.
Deciding to see what Team RWBY was up to he strolled across the hall and knocked on their door.
After receiving no response after the second time knocking Jaune figured that no one was home and should have left then and there.
However he was bored and not overly clever so he pushed the unlocked door open and entered the girls room.
An odd sight lay before him. Beakers and cases with the Schnee logo emblazzed on them were full of dust. It appeared that Weiss had left some form of dust experiment set-up in the room. Surprised at how the usually strict and book following heiress had left such potentially dangerous crystals out in the open he waltzed up to the crowded desk to take a closer look.
Unfortunately he tripped over something and fell face first into the dust causing a minor explosion and a cloud of smoke to obscure his vision.
As he regained his sight and senses Jaune was puzzled mores than his usual self. The desk appeared gigantic and the room seemed to have grown or more likely he had shrunk. The poor guy had been reduced to less than an inch in height. He could see the smallest cracks in the floor, the umber of rifle bullets discarded under one of the beds, and the incredibly long distance back to his own dorm.
Despite being as smaller than a mouse Jaune's main worry was that he had just blown up something in RWBY's room that he had gone into without permission. As he tried to figure out a way to explain his actions and get back to his normal size his worst fears were confirmed.
Someone had heard the explosion and was walking towards the room, their footsteps booming in Jaune's ears like a Godzilla movie. As Jaune wisely moved away from the direct path of the door he gulped in fear/worry as the door opened and he saw that the steps belonged too....
