"I'm not a magician, I'm a god!" You correct with annoyance at Haley's impotence.
"You're demonstrating magical powers. You are putting on a show of your magic. That makes you a magician, at least for now. Now quit stalling and show me something incredible!" Haley commanded with dwindling patience. You were a bit taken aback by her enthusiasm, her usually more laid back and playful demeanor giving way to something more forceful. If you didn't know any better you could swear that her wish wasn't just an off handed remark but was instead a deeper desire.
You shrug. "You know with the encouragement you're giving me I don't know if my talents will be worth the effort. Still if you want to see some magic you're going to see some magic!" You snap your fingers and almost immediately you begin to fall backwards, Monica barely managing to catch you before you slam into the ground. You are just barely conscious, head spinning as you struggled to stay awake.
"The theatrics are a bit much Eric." Haley said dismissively. You didn't understand, why hadn't anything happened yet. As she opened her mouth to say something else though her eyes widened in shock. You notice that Haley begins to lean forward, ever so slowly angling towards you. It is only when her torso topples off her hips that you realize she was not leaning she was sliding, her top half dropping to the floor with a thud. "Holy..." Haley drags herself to her elbows, swiveling her head back to see her detached lower half. "I can still feel it... and I'm not dead... you cut me in half with magic... holy shit!" She stammered, unable to process her words quickly enough.
"What'd I tell you half pint, I'm god's girlfriend!" Monica triumphantly cheered. You grow more aware as the realization hits Haley, able now keep yourself upright in a sitting position though you weren't up to the task of standing just yet.
"I... this is amazing!" Haley said, her eyes now lighting up with joy. Haley then...
