Chapter #3Suprising experiments. by: Unknown You wake up and instantly realize something is wrong. The ceiling is blank white, light faintly wafting down from behind the fluorescent panes. You sit up from your bed, which was much less comfortable than you remember. You are surprised to find that you were lying on a flat metal operating table, hence your sore back. You were naked, though you are certain you went to sleep wearing something.
Your room was a blank ten by ten box with nothing else in it but the table. You were so confused. You know you asked to be surprised, but you didn't expect whatever was happening. You here a click and look up to see that what appeared to just be a wall was actually a door, though there was no handle on your side. A woman walk in, its...
"MOM?!" You exclaim in surprise. Your beautiful mom Cynthia was dressed in a lab coat, though her rather ample buxom was barely contained by it. She looked slightly older, a few grey bags under her more weary eyes. She smiled as she looked up from her clipboard.
"Oh, you're awake earlier than expected! How are you Eric-14?"
Your eyes nearly pop out of your sockets "ERIC-14?! What the hell do you mean Eric-14?! What's going on here?!"
Her eyebrow raises as her expression changes from happy to observant. "Hmm. It appears the damage to your memory was more severe than anticipated. Perhaps the experiment was premature."
"MOM!!! WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?!" You inquire, grabbing a hold of her shoulders and shaking her slightly so she'll acknowledge you.
"Eric-14, this might be hard for you to here, especially with your brain not functioning as it should. Eric, you're a clone."
"WHAT?!" You ask incredulously.
"The original Eric died years ago. He was hit by a bus, cruelly stolen from his family by fate. I was full of grief, and the family was devastated. I went back to school. I got an advanced degree in bio-engineering. I got government backing, and soon, I cloned him. I cloned my son to bring him back. I cloned you."
This was heavy. You blinked with the realization that in this world you weren't really you.
"Eric wasn't perfect though. He was fragile, he could be hurt. When he was hurt, we all were equally in pain. I swore to remake him so that he was perfect. I've tried so much, replicating him with slight variations to improve him. To make him so perfect that he could not be stolen, and if he was I could rebuild him."
You thought she had gone crazy! She sounded totally off her rocker mad! You couldn't accuse her yet though. You were in her facility, and you still had questions that you needed answers to. "So, what did you do to me... him... us to make me different?"
She looks into your eyes and grins, some levity entering her eyes again. "I'm pretty proud of you in particular. For you I..."
Option 1:
"Made it so that you could not die. Any damage your body takes will be healed in a matter of hours, restoring you exactly the way you were. I removed a piece of your brain yesterday to see how that would heal, and while it did grow back you apparently lost the memories stored in that section of your mind."
Option 2:
"Made you into a goo like substance that can reshape into anything you want. You can separate and reform on a cellular level with ease, and cannot be harmed by conventional means. Yesterday I took a small piece of you and disposed of it to see what would happen. I guess you lost a few of your memories as a result of the destruction." indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
