Amy moved towards the Captain's chair, which Tex quickly vacated. As he did so, one of his arms touched the ship's control panel as an electric surge went through the Muffin, causing some of his programming to go on the fritz. Amy didn't notice it right away, since she was too busy swearing at her ship's controls to notice her helper robot leave the cockpit.

Some of Tex's backup systems were attempting to ward off the new directives, but in the end it wasn't enough. Soon, Tex would have a new primary function, which demanded that he...
