"Come on in!" - Amy heard a voice behind and enter the room. The room was pretty spacious and richly decorated, well it's princess's chambers after all. Anastasia is sitting by the table with teapot, two cups and a tray with snacks on it.
"Oh, you must be Ms. Amy!" - the princess stand up and come closer. She wasn't tall and near Amy, who was pretty tall, she seems even smaller. Anastasia have light almost pale skin and long light blond hairs, making her look like an angel.She looks very cute and light, despite the fact that she's rather chubby. Princess took Amy by hand and pull her toward the table. - "Come on, drink tea with me!"
"Uh... Sure, your highness..." - Amy never met Anastasia before and expected more formal greeting. - "Ahem... as you know I'll be your new bodyguard, so... I'm at your service your highness."
"Oh, there's no need to be so formal, you can call me just Anastasia!"
"But it's too... familiarly."
"No, no. It's alright. I order you to call me just by name!"
"Uh... Fine, your... Anastasia."
"Good. Now let's drink tea!"
As the investigation didn't gave any results there were a chance for a new assassination attempt, so princess spend almost all time in the castle with Amy and her younger sisters, she attended a few official meetings, but the most time she have nothing to do. The next day after their first meeting princess tried to get a permission from her mother to visit and thank Mariel, who still recovering in the hospital. Of course the queen declined this, but Anastasia was rather stubborn and the next day she go to her mother with this request again, and the next day again and again... until queen finally surrendered and allowed her daughter to leave the royal palace.
Though they left the castle in morning, they were going back late at night. Since princess was too kind, she decided to cheer up other patients in the hospital. It took whole day and at the end Anastasia was satisfied with her work, though very tired. Now she's dozed off in her coach beside Amy, of course Amy wasn't her only guard, outside they were escorted by small group of other knights. Suddenly the carriage slows down and stops.
"Uh, *yawn*... we're already home?" - the movement stirs up Anastasia, she stand up.
"Wait, princess!" - Amy knew that something was wrong, they couldn't reach the palace this soon. She carefully peeked through the window. The carriage was in the middle of street that was illuminated by rare lanterns, so it was pretty dark. Their escort isn't there, but in the light of nearest lantern Amy saw a men dressed in armour lying in puddle of some dark liquid.
Royal carriage was pretty sturdy and on top of that it was protected by magic so they were safe inside if they won't open the doors, or unless the attackers have a mage with them. They could sit here and wait for help until morning, but Amy doesn't wanted to risk, so she need to do something now.
