With a single stroke, you sliced through Michelle from the top of her head to her crotch, splitting her in two. However, Michelle wasn't used to standing on one leg, so the right half fell backwards onto her bed, whilst the left half was wobbling and nearly fell forward, but you caught her.
"Whoa, this is kind of disorienting" the left half said.
"Um, are either of you okay?" you asked, guiding left-Michelle to the same bed.
Right-Michelle held out her hand. Simultaneously, left-Michelle put her hand to her heart.
"Could you check my pulse, please? I just want to be sure I'm okay"
You did so, and surprisingly, despite right-Michelle literally not having a heart, she still had a pulse.
"Wow. It does work!", left-Michelle exclaimed, smiling a half smile.
"Okay, so how do you feel?"
"Well, it's weird. It's kind of like I have a psychic link between myself and my right half" left-Michelle said.
"Yeah, vice versa for me", the right half added.
"And, it's kind of funny," the left half said, getting up. "But I think the longer we stay like this, the more our motor skills adapt to this condition" She hopped over to her desk and picked up a pencil. "I wonder if I could write as good as you?", she asked the right half.
"Well," you said. "What should happen if the two of you were to merge back together"
