As you enter Ms Dodds' classroom you are surprised to see that she had not only found her head but also successfully reattached it to her body. As you stand in the doorway, you notice that Ms Dodds has an anxious expression on her face as she sat at her desk. She also rubs her neck with her hand and rotates her head clockwise, almost as if to check that it wasn't going to fall off.
As Ms Dodds spots you standing there, she jumps back in her chair in surprise. "Uh oh." Is all you could think as Ms Dodd's stares at you with a horrified expression.
"John!?" She asks, seemingly unsure if she recognises you without your head. You give her a thumbs up to confirm that it's really you.
"You know, I was really hoping that all of this was a dream... How did you do that to me, John?" She asks you. Her tone sounds calm but also exhausted. She must have been really stressed once she realised that her head was missing yesterday.
You decide to play dumb at first in the hopes that she would doubt her own suspicions & leave you alone. Unfortunately, your own lack of a head is a dead giveaway that you are the culprit.
"This isn't a game, John! I was walking around without a head for most of yesterday. I was lucky that nobody important saw me like that!" She follows up.
Ms Dodds is not in the mood to mess around with you. You can clearly see that she is distressed about what happened, so you decide to come clean. Messing with her any longer would just get you in more trouble.
"Alright, You got me. I'm sorry. I just discovered that I could do this & I wanted to experiment a little bit." You confess over your phone.
"Well it wasn't funny, John! I could barely sleep last night because of what happened. I'm not mad or anything, but I just want to know how you did it." Ms Dodds thankfully lets you off lightly
You apologise again & ensure her that stressing her out or scaring her was not your intention. You consider telling her about The Longsword, but decide to keep it a secret for now. When Ms Dodds asks you how you took both of your heads off, you just give her a vague excuse about a magical power to remove heads.
"That all sounds very fascinating, but I would prefer if you didn't surprise me like that. If you promise not to do that again, I won't take this any further."
You nod your neck in agreement, thankful that you aren't in much trouble. However, you remember just then that your mum asked you to bring back Ms Dodds' head tonight, but it complicates things if she already has it back & made you promise not to take it off again.
As you make your way further into the classroom, you are left with a dilemma
