You've always wanted to be headless, but you weren't quite sure if you were ready to be blind as well. Looking at the sword you notice however a greater sheen on one side of the blade. Looking at the note again you notice the small clarification that the brighter side is what will retain consciousness.
Finding the idea fascinating, you position the sword next to your neck so that the conscious-retaining side is face up.
"Here goes nothing" you think to yourself as you bring the blade back to charge up momentum. Then swinging it back through your own neck. You feel the cool steel slice your neck in two, as it passes through you lose feeling with your body below. In a fraction of a second the blade swings out the other end of your neck and you lose all feeling in your body. You go toppling off your body, landing on the floor and rolling away.
You roll to a stop in the middle of the floor. Your body, now devoid of any control drops the sword and limply falls to its knees before ragdolling completely to the ground. Once your body has come it its resting place it suddenly vanishes in a small poof of smoke. All that remains is you and the sword.
"woo hoo!" you call out, having enjoyed your self-decapitation.
Only however despite only being a head, you neglected to use it and think ahead. You're stuck. Just a head on the ground with no body whatsoever now.
You think for a moment. You were going to need help, it was just a matter of deciding who would handle your bodiless head the best.
