When the three new Genin arrived outside training ground 39 they had expected an number of things. What they got however was not one of them.
"Alright you maggots, now normally most Jounin Sensei do some sort of introduction before giving them a final test. I am not most Jounin. You will have your test and it will begin almost immediately. Clear?"
Seeing the three nod their heads she continued. "Your test is simple really. As you might have noticed training ground 39 is mostly forest with patches of flat clearings. Normally I'd have thrown you lot into area 44 aka The Forest of Death but that was decided to be to extreme by our Lord Hokage."
The genin paled at the thought of having to enter a place called The Forest of Death. They were feeling immensely grateful for Lord Hokage intervening. "Your test, if you haven't figured it out yet, is survival. You'll be entering the forested area behind me and trying your damn hardest to survive what I send in after you. I do not expect any of you to survive and fully expect you three to end up eaten and digested alive. Your only way to pass this test is to survive till the sun sets. This means you have to avoid being eaten or just out right killed for a full day. How unlucky for you." The genin shivered at the predatory gaze of their sensei.
"So brats, anything you need to say or ask before I send you off to what is almost guaranteed to be your deaths?" Anko held back a sigh of annoyance at seeing the coat-wearing-bug-using brat raise a hand. She motioned for him to ask.
"Sensei, you said you'd be sending something in after us. What are we trying to avoid?"
Anko grinned. 'Maybe answering a question wasn't such a bad thing.'
