"...And that's the situation," stated Tsunade as she looked at the three girls she had summoned to her office.
"Who did this to him?" asked Sakura worried about the wellbeing of her teammate.
"Lee."
And just like that everything seemed to make a lot more sense.
"We've run him through every test that we can without causing more damage but the result is right in front of our face," explained Tsunade. "Naruto is unaware of who he is and what he is as a person. I believe it would be best if one of you three would look after him and try and jog his memory back up, even if it is bit by bit."
"With all due respect Tsunade-sama," said Ino to her fellow blonde. "Couldn't we use one of my family jutsu's on Naruto to try and make him remember who he is?"
"That option did come up in conversation but I'd sincerely suggest that you refrain from such tactics less you to lose part of your memory," said Tsunade. "There have been instances in the past where Yamanaka's have found themselves trapped in an empty mind for hours on end until they themselves lose part of who they are. You can try it if you wish but I will not be held responsible for the results."
Ino seemed to take a step back at that, fearing the consequences the actions her jutsu could cause. "U-umm, would N-Naruto-kun be alright to live by himself?" asked Hinata meekly.
"That is the main reason why I have summoned the three of you here," said Tsunade. "Until Naruto recovers part of his memory I will need one of you three to live with him at his apartment. Considering the tenants next door had moved out some time ago the wall separating the two apartments has been removed providing enough room for an extra person to stay without having to cram into the same space."
Sakura who had ventured to Naruto's on some occasions was aware that the apartments were designed for two people originally meaning that if they wanted to the four of them could live under the same roof to look after Naruto. Surely it couldn't be that bad to share.
"Whoever undergoes this task will have all finances covered within due reason, meaning no splurging on anything other than necessities, and will be paid a 'C' ranked mission wage weekly until Naruto is back in fighting shape," said Tsunade.
While a 'C' ranked level of pay wasn't exactly much considering that they wouldn't have to pay anything in the meantime meant it could easily be quite a fortune at the end of the mission.
"Now, I need one of you to take this task on, who will it be?" asked Tsunade, her gaze sharpening slightly.
After a few seconds passed ...... stepped forward to accept the task. Was it .......?
