Academy Children

by: Jay Reuss Author IconMail Icon
The academy was a notable centerpiece of Konoha's ninja force. It was the bedrock of Konoha's military strength and power, where civilian and respectable clan families would enlist their children to be inducted into the ranks of the Shinobi. Since Naruto had no family or clan to enlist him in, the Hokage had to enroll Naruto in the academy. It was not an easy task to perform. With pushback from the civilian council and earfuls of protests from select academy educators, Naruto's enrollment was halted numerous times. Although these poor attempts of rebellion were squashed once the Hokage cemented his political and influential power over the general population of Konoha to these unruly citizens. The Hokage hoped that once Naruto left the academy, Naruto would become a proficient and exemplary Genin. An example for the future generation that hard work truly pays off.

However, this was but a hope of the past.

Naruto despised the academy. The teachers found other ways to sabotage Naruto's academic career and his weapons training. This lowered Naruto's already loose morale of becoming a Shinobi. Furthermore, the blonde never took the academy lectures and teachings seriously. Chalking them up as boring and hellish torture mechanisms. As such, Naruto regularly skipped classes, pulling pranks on civilians rather than completing his homework or attending school. When Naruto did show up, it was always through ANBU or Chunin Instructors hauling Naruto's disobedient self into the classroom, where the unruly blonde would simply doze off or doodle in the classroom.

With the academy instructors displeasure, protests from both civilian and shinobi councils swelling and Naruto's lack of motivation to continue his academic career, The Hokage decided that Naruto would attend for one more year to become a ninja. The Hokage had to lecture Naruto on the severity and weight of this decision. If Naruto did not wise up, he would be barred from ever entering the academy.

This seemingly worked, as Naruto realized the consequences of his actions and the severity of what was happening. He rarely skipped classes and was at least trying to succeed in the classroom. However, there were many obstacles in his path.

Many of whom, were academy children. These children were much younger than Naruto, ranging from four to seven year olds. These select few were emboldened by their parents words of scorn and malice towards the young Uzumaki. These children were brainwashed to believe that Naruto was a threat to their safety and would have to either punish him, or mold the blonde into the perfect, subservient slave. The academy teachers also encouraged younger bullies to target Naruto, mainly for degradation and humiliation purposes.

These academy children had previously picked on Naruto before, but it was never anything serious. But this week? This week would be different. These children would torment the blonde. These children world turn Naruto's life into a living hell. These children would make the Uzumaki demon, into a slave.

To do this, these Academy children opted to...
