Jessica hesitates for a moment, then decides that it's best not to cross the police. Being careful not to tip the girl off, Jessica discretely points towards the bushes even as she says, "No sir, I didn't see anyone."
The officers thank her, but as they turn they pounce on the girl in the bushes. "You bitch!" the girl screams. "You ratted me out! I'll make you pay for this, short stuff. Someday you might end up in Saint Mary's and I'll make you pay then!"
"You're not in the position to threaten anyone, tough girl," one of the officers says.
"Yeah, when we get you back to the Headmaster, it will be cash for us, and the cane for you!" the other officer laughs.
"Cash?" Jessica said.
"Oh, yeah, they offer all sorts of cash for capturing escapees. Every cop in the neighborhood is looking for this one. We're happy to split the reward with you, if you want to help us bring her back, Miss?"
You look at the huge gates of the school topped with barbed wire. It would be a great story, but the building is so...foreboding. Should you go with the police officers?
