Stranger Danger

Jessica sat sullenly on the swing, wobbling dispiritedly to-&-fro, she pondered her situation, and how she could best get her things back from inside Mrs. Bradley's house. It was mortifying to be made to stay out here - playing like a little girl - in such childish togs! This entire ridiculous misadventure needed to stop immediately, and Jess was mainly considering whether to simply storm right back in and demand her things, or whether she should perhaps try to sneak in a back entrance to the house, nearer to where she left her stuff in the laundry room.
Until seriously mulling her options, Jess had been painfully aware of the sidewalk and the cars passing at times, such was her abject embarrassment at being dressed up like a child and sent outside. So, it was doubly surprising when she heard someone cough as if they were clearing their throat. She looked up, and there leaning on the fence mere feet from her was a man dressed in black, eyeing her like a lollipop he wanted to ever so badly have a taste of.
"Well hello there!" he said, all the while leering and blatantly staring at her smooth, bare legs, You certainly are a pretty young thing. I don't believe we've met, Miss - ?"
Jessica is naturally horrified at the creepy pervert mistaking her for a younger girl, and even more so at his obvious preference for that appearance, but some tiny part of her thrilled to the attention, which she rarely got when she actually tried to dress her age.
