The school alarm then starts ringing

Just as the alarm began to sound!

Jessica jumps back, wanting to be dissociated with the girl before anyone could accuse her of doing something wrong. After all, she is in a new town, with no one to support her should anything go wrong - the last thing she needs is to be seen to be associating with criminals!

The girl turns around and tells Jessica to strip, and that she will be changing places with the girl, or else she will be killed. Jessica hesitates, unsure whether or not the girl is serious in her threat, but knowing that time is running out - she needs to leave, else there is a good chance of her being taken into the school and questioned, which she does not want to do right now.
