The child responds in a language you don't ...

You think at first that the coyote child is speaking Spanish, but you realize pretty quickly that you're wrong. Whatever the child says is intoned in such a way that it sounds like a question. By now, other children have gathered around. You don't know what to do, and so you respond as best as you can.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what you're saying."

The coyote child then turns to his friends, and they speak quickly among each other for a while. The coyote turns back and signals you to 'wait' with his paws. You feel a bit relieved that you're able to recognize the gesture. One of the jackrabbits runs into a nearby house, and returns with and older jackrabbit woman who you assume to be her mother. The younger jackrabbit gestures excitedly to you and speaks in a rushed tone. Her mother shushes her as she approaches you. The mother asks you a question, longer than what they coyote had asked. You respond with "I don't understand." She looks at you with a perplexed expression for a while before pointing at herself and saying "Sayo Anya." You figure that she's introducing herself, so you do the same. You point to yourself and say your name as clearly as you can manage. She nods and says something that includes the name you just told her and gestures for you to follow.
