"Did someone hit the wrong switch or something?!"
"In a matter of speaking... yes." Wincing, mom replied. "As I explained, the procedure was experimental. The doctors had a lot of programing to run before they used it on you and forgot to set a specific gender." She sighed. "The nanites rebuilt you as a girl."
"Fortunately and unfortunately, the nanites were only programed to rebuild your body." Wincing, Kelly added. "So you are now a teen girl with a man's mind."
"There is talk of resetting your mind to match your new body." Gently, mom said. "Only your father is fighting them on this as they had already made one monumental mistake with the new procedure."
"Don't I get a say in this?!" Startled, you demanded. "I may look thirteen but I have the mind and maturity of an adult!"
"You also suffered a traumatic medical malpractice incident." Serious, mom said. "There is a concern that your panic may lead to irrational decisions."
This left you speechless as dad finally walked in with a small team of doctors. "I am sorry, Kevin." Firmly but kindly, dad said. "However, given the situation, I feel I must make the decisions on your behalf. The doctors and I are in agreement that the best course of action is to..."
