The spider knew that if the spider was that hard to catch then it must be really tasty. So it started to grow.
As it grew its tree trunk sized legs knocked over and uprooted any trees that they grew though. Soon they snapped like trees while the spiders sky scraper sized legs made a highway size and still widening gouge though the forest. Soon it had outgrown the forest completely. Bands of clouds circled round the base of the spiders which where so huge that is could utterly crush whole cities with a single step.
Still it grew.
The whole continent was under it shadow. Its forelegs in one ocean and is back legs were in another. It body then crashed down into the earth, covering the whole surface with molten cracks as it legs grew over the edge of the earth. The earth got caught he the spiders far great gravity and started to roll around its body. With another surge of grow it smashed into the moon, reducing it to powder. It then saw a little splodge of green, the fly. It then ramped up its growth even more smashing though Venus Mercury and Mars on the way to the sun. It could now see the cosmic fly, the either solar system was in a groove along the outside of its proboscis.
The spider steal it self for even fast growth, it would catch up and then overtake.
