Igor stronovick was trekking though the vast forests of eastern Russia. We had already gathered several pelts. Some of them were of specifically high quality. Just a few more and he'll have enough to get his family though the winter. He once more checked his grandfathers rifle. The powder was dry and the parts well oiled. He scanned the areas for more sign.
Suddenly he caught sites of streak of light in sky. Something was falling from the sky. It rushed down to just above the trees. Then it suddenly stopped. It then dropped the rest of the way like a brick. It was only a hundred or so yards from Igor.
Igor had no idea what the thingy was but he figured it must be valuable. Some city folk would like the weird thing. It might be dangerous too so he loaded his rifle and made this way to where it landed.
He saw a perfect sphere about a foot across. It suddenly quivered and then split open. Out of it came a bright green spider. It looked like it would have barely fit inside. It then walked towards him chittering.
It was terrified. He was a hunter however. He aimed his rifle and as he had been brought up for decades he aimed for the eyes. The bullet went in with a squelch. The eye healed almost instantly pushing the bullet out.
"NOPE NOPE NOPE, I'm out" scream Igor, but in Russian. Holstering his rifle again he backed off and quickly broke into a run.
...
The spider stopped. It looked at the bullet, it was pretty. It decided that it should give its new friend a present too. It would have to learn what his new friend liked first. It followed Igor's trail home.
