Chapter #4

One sock is no good

Austin finds one of his socks under the sofa and looks frantically for the other one. Ally comes back with ice water and cookies. She helps Austin with trying to find his other sock again, but ultimately come up empty. Austin throws his shoe and one sock by the stairs and sits down next to Ally and puts his bare feet up on the coffee table. Ally can’t help but admire, as she says, cute toes. Austin’s long toes bend a bit down at their tips.
Ally shows Austin some of the pictures she took and comes across the one where he is sucking his toe. He blushes and says his toe tasted like grass since he was mowing the lawn in his bare feet before coming over. Ally comments about taking a shower first and Austin nods his head. He pipes in that the smell stays on his feet for a while.
A while later, Ally’s mom shouts from upstairs asking if Austin is staying for dinner. Ally looks at Austin and then yells back up - yes! She comments to Austin that he’ll have to wear his shoes while at the dinner table, but Austin replies that he hates wearing shoes without wearing socks. Ally rolls his eyes and says to him to man up and put his shoes on without socks.
Later that night, Ally’s parents, Ally and Austin are eating at the dinner table. We can see under the table that Austin has shoed off his shoes and stretching out his tan bare feet.
Austin complements the dinner to Ally’s mom and she smiles.
