As you know Austin was a surfer who loved the sand and surf. He had to wear shoes to school and church, but other than that, he loved to bare his feet. At home, he was barefoot all the time.
Ally’s mom got up from the table to retrieve some more gravy for the turkey. When she returned, she noticed Austin’s bare feet under the table. She didn’t say anything, but just gave him a smile. Ally and her dad were busy in conversation, so her mom asked Austin to help clear the table. He tried to quickly put his shoes back on his feet, but she whispered that he could keep them off and winked at him. Austin blushed and took a load of dishes in his hands and walked barefoot to the kitchen with Ally’s mom in tow.
In the kitchen, he places the dirty dishes on the counter and turns to go back to the dining room. Ally’s mom stops him and looks down at his tan bare feet. She admires them saying that they look beautiful. She continues saying that his feet looked better from the last time she saw him barefoot. Austin said that he gets a pedicure from his aunt’s beauty salon to keep his feet fit. He continued saying that his mom noticed his rough surfer feet and told him to visit her sister’s salon. Ally’s mom confides in him saying that he has cute toes. Austin again blushes and moves one bare foot over the other.
Just then, Ally walks in the kitchen and sees a barefoot Austin standing there. She is mad, turns and walks out. Austin runs after her as her mom looks on.
Later on, Austin and Ally make up and join her parents in the family room to watch TV. Ally’s dad is in his recliner, reclined back with his own bare feet resting on the foot rest. Austin is still barefoot and smiles when he sees her dad barefoot. He notices Austin’s barefoot and wiggles his own toes.
