As you look at the jewelry case you keep finding your eyes going back to a black choker that had a large rainbow colored stone as it's focal point. It seemed like you had been looking at it with your face and hands pressed against the glass when a voice came from behind you.
"It seems the Queen's Sin has chosen you."
You break your graze from the choker to turn to see a very tall and lanky man standing there. His face was that of a man who's eyes and face seemed to show more age than his body did. He wore a crimson robe with a mesmerizing pattern on it and carried a long black cane with an absurdly large green gem at the handle. "Excuse me?"
"I said that you have been chosen by the Queen's Sin. I must say I'm surprised. It hasn't chosen a potential wielder for centuries." You gave the man a look and he quickly added, "Or so I've been told."
"What are you talking about?"
The gaunt man chuckled, "This store is much more than it seems, I do not so much sell items, as much as I wait for them to find new owners. It is my lot in life and I am happy to fulfill it. And you young man, are one of the chosen few. You have been selected to own one of my trinkets." The man walked slowly past you and opened up the display case and without even tell him what you wanted, he took out the choker and gave it to you.
"How much is it?"
The man's face suddenly became more strained as though he was holding something back, "It does not cost anything monetarily. However...it will cost you. Potentially greatly if you are found unworthy. But if you complete you tasks you shall become more than you could ever dream. More than the world has seen in over a millennium." The man sat down on a chair and spoke as though recalling something, "The Queen's Sin once belonged to a great and powerful queen from so long ago time has forgotten her. So was so powerful she managed to control the uncontrollable power of Sin itself." The man held up his fingers and began counting down. "Lust. Envy. Gluttony. Wrath. Pride. Greed. Sloth. She wielded them all. First she mastered them for herself and then used her power to control. It eventually overcame her and the power was sealed into the Queen's Sin. It's been in this store ever sense awaiting a new owner. A new master." The old man finally seemed to snap out of his memory and looked you in the eyes. You could see so much in his eyes and had so many questions you didn't know where to start. The old man continued, "I see potential for greatness in you. Whether that be great good or evil I can not yet tell. But I believe you will change the world."
He stood up and walked you out the door of the store. "Now go. As soon as you put on the Queen's Sin your new life will begin. Your journey will be hard, but do try to have fun. You're still so young."
You finally found your tongue, "But, I'm sorry I don't think I get it. I just found a neat piece of jewelry and you're telling me all this about sin and power and...this is just nuts!"
"You will learn in time. Just wear the Queen's Sin. Touch the stone and picture the sin you wish to try to master. The Queen's Sin shall do the rest."
You leave the store and find yourself wandering aimlessly with the choker in your hand. Everything that had been said was just so crazy but, it felt like it resonated with you through the jewel. So you finally did what you wanted to do since you first saw it and put on the choker. You felt a chill go down your spine as you then reached for the rainbow colored stone and touched it as you thought of the sin's power you wanted to try out.
