When Eric Hill had accepted his friend's invitation to go to Miami for two weeks during spring break, he kind of assumed they'd be flying. Instead, here he was, not even through hour one of the six hour car ride, and he was already dying to just get there already.
Sitting next to him was Diana, the friend who had invited him in the first place. She was on the short side,with pale skin and curly brown hair, but was curvy and mature enough that people often mistook we for a college student, instead of the high school student senior she was. Eric and Diana had been friends since freshman year, and the two had been almost inseparable since. When Diana's mom (currently driving the car, and looking much like her daughter, but older and with wider hips) had announced their trip, Diana's immediate reaction was to invite Eric. Eric had always admired her, and he hoped the trip went well...
Of course, Diana hadn't invited Eric only. Sitting behind the passenger seat was Sam. Sam was short for Samantha, but Sam herself was anything but. She was one of the tallest kids in school, even among the guys, though she hadn't always liked that. She'd moved to their school district during sophomore year, and had been rather awkward at first. But then she joined the volleyball team, and her confidence soared; in part to her incredible aptitude for the sport, and in part due to what the constant exercise had done for her figure. Now, the dark-haired, dark-skinned girl sat nodding off next to the window.
In the passenger seat sat Julia. Julia was Diana's older sister, a junior in college. Eric didn't know her too well, but she seemed nice enough... If a little absent-minded sometimes. Embarrassingly enough, the first time they met, Julia had pulled Eric into a great big hug- and pulled his face right into her great big chest, something Diana and Sam still loved to tease him about.
So, with all his stuff packed either into the back of the car or on top of it, pins and needles slowly starting to prick up and down his legs, and his mind starting to ache from sheer boredom, Eric tried to think of something, anything to alleviate the boredom.
