Seeing as it was a long drive, Diana's mom had seen fit to pack plenty of snacks and drinks within arm's reach of her passengers. Eric, thinking that a little caffeine might perk him up, reached into the cooler (packed just behind the middle row of seats) and pulled out a can of soda. He cracked it open, and within a few sips he was already feeling better.
