Restart time and consult with her first

You pressed the button again, and time starts flowing again. You let go of Ashley and take a step back.
"There's something I want to show you," you said, holding out the hilt of the katana.
"It's... the handle of a katana," she said.
"Hold onto this," you said, holding the katana so that the blade would point up when you activated it. "Don't let go until I say so."
"Okay," said Ash as she grabbed the katana. Once her hand was around the hilt, you pressed the red button, and the white blade shoots out.
"Whoa!" said Ash. "That's pretty cool."
"Okay, you can let go now," you said. "And take a look out the window."
"Out the window?" said Ash, glancing that way in confusion. "Why would I look out the..." Her voice trailed off as she noticed that everything outside was still. Cars were standing still in the street, pedestrians were mid-stride, the trees weren't blowing in the wind. "Oh my god! Everything's just... stopped!"
You smirked, and pulled out the note you found with the katana. "Have a read of this," you said, handing her the note.
Ash takes the note, and her eyes flick from side to side as she reads it. "Do... do you think it works?"
"I was going to test it out on you," you said. "I wanted you to know what was going on before I made any changes to you."
Ash nodded. "What were you planning to do?"
"I wanted to try cutting you in half in the detachment mode," you said. "Are you okay with that?"
Ash thought for a moment, then opened her mouth and said...
