You are panicking a bit. All this has happened so fast and now no way to return to your former size. Gotta calm down, think logically. Like food for example, how much did you have again? Taking off the pack you inventory the minimal amount of food you brought. Maybe enough for 2 days. 3 if you stretch it. Sanity grabs hold of you and you realize the series of mistakes that’s led here. You are pretty much the bottom of the food chain, in a hostile and uncertain environment, no real plan and barely enough food or water, and a machete for a weapon, smaller than the tip of a pen. Oh and of course, NO SHRINK RAY! You’ll be luck to last an hour out here with this level of preparation.
You hurriedly put on your pack and begin sprinting away from the rainforest of your family’s backyard. Under the titanic fence again. You must find the dropped ray. You would return to your previous size, beg your parents to live with them for a couple of weeks, and do this right next time. You had a couple of half finished projects in a small lockbox you had stored in the garage before you shrank. A miniature survivalist bunker you had designed, and a suit that gave limited boosts to agility and toughness. You had written them off in your eagerness to start this adventure, your reasoning being that a true survivalist wouldn’t cheat like that. You’re all for cheating now that you realize a human being cam’t survive in this world, evolution hadn’t given you flight, or poisonous fangs, or 6 legs. You’d need both desperately if you want to even have a chance to survive down here.
You’ve so far not spotted any critters, but no ray either. The former was guaranteed to happen sooner or later. You stumble upon a patch of what appears to be recently dead grass. Perhaps caused by the ray shrinking on the ground? Thinking quickly, you climb the nearest healthy stalk, its like 6 stories tall, but fortunately at a manageable slope. The grooves in the plant act as handholds. Reaching the tip of the stalk, your weight too inconsequential to even cause it to bend, you scan over the several acre sized dead area, desperate for a glimmer of shiny metal.
