Shara gives a quick sigh before rising up to look out of the window. You soon walked up next to her to see the approaching giant, while you couldn't see their face you could see that they were wearing a white dress and gladiator sandals. "Do you know who that is ?", you asked. "Yeah, it's Elizabeth again", Shara responded sounding annoyed that her fun was spoiled.
Elizabeth kept making her way through the town, each one of her footsteps getting louder the closer she got. "What is she wearing ?". "It's her 'deity' outfit...", Shara said making quotation marks with her fingers, "Those are the clothes she wants to wear when they find a way to grow into giants".
"These people are crazy", you said. It seemed like every few hours you learn something new about your strange captors. You can't help but wonder if Bethany will be worse than her parents once she gains access to this power. Elizabeth stopped in the center of town, allowing its citizens to create a crowd around her enormous feet and bow down. High above, Elizabeth looked down at her tiny subjects before speaking.
"Bethany's pet. Reporter Girl. Reveal yourselves", the giantess spoke, her voice traveling clearly throughout the town. "Bethany's pet ?. Does she mean you ?", Shara whispered looking back at you. "Unfortunately, yes", you answered. "Oh no", Shara said under her breath before grabbing your hand and walking you outside. You didn't fight back against her; not only because it would be pointless given her size, but because you could risk the people of this town getting harmed now just so you could escape.
The two of you pushed past the crowds and got closer to Elizabeth's building sized feet. Shara quickly bowed down and soon you did the same. Elizabeth then bent down and snatched the two of you off of the floor and then dropped you onto palm of her other hand as she stood back to her full height.
"I thought I told you that I did not want to search for you", Elizabeth said down at you. You weren't expecting to spend as much time with Shara as you did but you didn't want to have to explain why you were there, so you remained silent. "Apologies mistress...", Shara said while bowing down again, "...I thought you offered him to me as a mate, I didn't know he was lady Bethany's property. I take full responsibility". You looked back at her in shock, why was she sticking her neck out for you like this.
"Oh yes, I haven't given you the news", Elizabeth said with her usual tone of superiority. "She found this one yesterday. How convenient is it that the day she become old enough to have her own lower being, she finds two of them", the giant woman said smirking. "Two of them mistress ?", Shara said pretending not to know who she is referring to. "Yes, a spy that was downsized for opposing our authority. She's escaped recently, you haven't seen her have you ?", Elizabeth questions before bring that hand that you are on closer to her face.
"No mistress", Shara says while regaining her balance. "Oh well, onto more important things...", Elizabeth says nonchalantly, "...we wish to have Bethany's first feast and you will provide us with one hundred of your subjects to feed on, do I make myself clear ?". Both you and Shara went wide eyed, both of you knew that this was the point of her having a village of tiny people but that didn't make the idea of it any less terrifying.
"Do I make myself clear", Elizabeth raised her voice. "Yes, mistress", Shara was barely able to squeak out. "Good, now you...", Elizabeth said referring to you again, "...we have some business to attend to". Elizabeth then pulled on her necklace and revealed it to be a tiny cage identical to the necklace that Bethany now has. This one is visibly older however.
She places the cage down onto her hand and opens the door for you to enter. "I see that you've made a new friend here, shall she be joining us ?", Elizabeth asks still being nonchalant.
It's clear that Shara doesn't want to anger Elizabeth, especially since she keeps calling her mistress. But maybe this can be a wake up call a chance for her to realize that rebelling is best. On the other hand maybe this is what years of being this size has done to her, made her even more scared to go against her mistress. She could still be a great help to you, she just needs a little convincing.
Either way it looks like Shara has made her choice...
