At the train stop, you'd be staying in the same place yet at the same time be exposed to a wide variety of different people coming and going. Protection from the elements is thrown in for free, in the shape of the awning large enough to shelter even the gigantic regular-size commuters! Destination decided!
You set the drone in pursuit of the woman, but as it zips into the darkened underground you pause for a moment - your mode of transportation may well give you away! You'll have to bail out beforehand lest some stranger follow the drone and find you!
Why didn't you think about this earlier? Still, plenty of time to compensate for a lack of fore-thought! And luckily enough, the buzzing of your drone is drowned out by a train pulling into the station at that moment, its cacophony all the more monstrous for someone of your three-inch height.
As you ponder a suitable landing spot while everyone is concentrating on boarding, another thought occurs to you: you could always live inside the train carriage itself! The same opportunities for food and shelter would be present, and the risk of being attacked in the night by vermin would be cut astronomically! You'll have to decide quick, as there's not much time for you to fly inside before those doors close...
